One night in 2002, I asked Xella, "What's something you'd like to see me draw?" She replied back she'd like to see Snowhawk in a pose like Rose's in Titanic. So, that's what lead to the creation of this image.
Snow was drawn and shaded with mechanical pencil, blended with a tortillion, then colored over with a Prismacolor colorless blender, then gone over with the white Prisma color.
The pillows were black, 50% warm, cool, and french grey, and 70% warm, cool, and french grey, blended with the colorless blender then gone over with the white pencil.
The wall and floor were mechanical pencil, smudged with a Puffs tissue.
The pose was, obviously, heavily refrenced from the movie "Titanic". |
